To the Editor,
I would like to add my voice to those voting for the new fire hall. I appreciate their calm, reasoning voices. I would like to add two things:
When I read the “Maximum Impact of Fire Hall Borrowing to Your Total Property Tax Bill” I realized that the Town of Creston would not be on the hook for $6.1M but $3.82M because BC Ambulance would be paying in .8M and contract areas would be paying $1.48M.
We can pay now or pay more later. Borrowing rates are very, very low right now but do you remember interest rates being North of 10%? A no-brainer in my opinion.
