UPDATE: Jensen Creek wildfire still active

The wildfire located at Kuskonook (fire number: N71083) has been extinguished. The wildfire located at Jansen Creek (fire number: N71094) is still active and has grown to 0.40 hectares in size.

BC Wildfire Service reported two small wildfires in the Creston Valley on Thursday.

Both wildfires are estimated to be 0.01 hectares in size.

Location:

  • Kuskonook (fire number: N71083) suspected cause of the fire is unknown.
  • Jansen Creek (fire number: N71094) suspected cause of the fire is lightning.
