Students at Adam Robertson Elementary School took part in the school’s 25th annual Jump Rope for Heart event on Friday.

Since the project was started by Betty Martin in 1987, the school has raised more than $200,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, including $3,445.44 this year.

The day featured jumping in the morning and afternoon, accompanied by House of Rock bands, and the presentation of a commemorative plaque and banner to the school by Heart and Stroke Foundation school programs co-ordinator Sharon Gardner.
