Spooky season is here, and young goblins and ghouls will be hitting the streets tomorrow evening.

Around town, there will be a few fun festivities for the kids to get their sugary fill.

Creston Fire Rescue is hosting the annual Safety Stop at the Creston Emergency Services Building, located at 1505 Cook Street. Warm up with a hot dog, hot chocolate, and grab a treat and glow stick before venturing out, starting at 5 p.m.

More family-friendly fun will be had at the Halloween party at Millennium Park, 215 16 Ave. S, from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy free entry to live music, dazzling lights, and trick-or-treating for the kids.

It’s worth a drive around Creston to see the festive yards set up by enthusiastic decorators in different neighbourhoods. Stop by the haunted house at 1016 11 Ave. N from 6 to 9 p.m. This family has been celebrating for three years and promises full-size chocolate bars to those brave enough to enter.

Local businesses are also joining in on the Halloween horrors of overflowing candy bags. Creston's Town Hall will hand out sweet treats from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Stop by Bigfoot Cafe to decorate cookies, Mountain Park Resort to trick-or-treat in store until 8 p.m., and or even A&W for a free kids’ meals.

Happy Halloween and remember to be safe out there!
