Join Wildsight Creston for Local Colours this Friday

Enjoy an evening featuring beautiful photography of the Kootenays and beyond

Wildsight Creston Valley is hosting Local Colours, a showcase of local nature photography and storytelling.

This Friday, Nov. 22, photographers will tell their stories at Kootenay River Secondary School Auditorium from 7 to 9 p.m.

Local Colours will highlight the beauty of the Kootenays and beyond, featuring photography by Binil Philip, Jesse Moreton, Lindsay Donald, Robin Louie, and Tammy Bradford.

With an Indigenous perspective, Louie will share the culture of the land in hopes for people to understand how to care for it in a way to ensure future generations can also benefit.

Lindsay Donald will feature images of the wildlife of the Creston Valley and may even dazzle with some polar bear images from a recent trip to Hudson Bay.

Jesse Moreton will adventure into the heart of the Purcells to summit Jumbo Mountain, where you will find grizzlies, not gondolas.

Tammy Bradford, an avid birdwatcher, will share her journey of capturing winged friends in the valley.

Philip will also showcase the nearby hidden beauty of local hiking trails.

It promises to be an immersive evening delving into the wonder of nature with like-minded community members.

Tickets can be purchased online, in store at Kingfisher Books, or at the door, costing $15 each for adults and $5 for youth.
