As frigid temperatures linger, the Town of Creston's emergency warming centre will remain open for another week.

The centre provides a safe, warm, dry refuge for anyone who needs it, located in the old ambulance building on the former Fire Hall property at 138 10 Ave. N. There is access to washrooms, a seating area, as well as complimentary snacks and refreshments. Everyone is welcome.

The centre opened on Jan. 31, nightly from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. It will now be available until the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 12, with the possibility of further extension depending on the weather.
