We’re still buzzing from the energy of our Summer Solstice Celebration — and what an unforgettable event it turned out to be!
On June 20, every element came together to mark a vibrant tribute to our trails, our community, and the changing of the season. Here are some of the highlights that made the day so special:
• Sold-Out Success - You filled every seat, and then some! From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for showing up, supporting our trails, and creating such a joyful atmosphere.
• Silent Auction Treasures - We were blown away by the stunning donations from local artists and crafters. Your bids brought these treasures to new homes and helped us raise vital funds to continue our work on the trails.
• Live Music Magic - The talented Adrienne and Carmen lit up the venue with inspiring, easy-listening tunes that had toes tapping and hearts full. The mountain backdrop made the experience all the more magical.
• Sweet Eats from Sweet Jane’s - Sweet Jane’s Food Trailer brought out the flavour of the Kootenays with donairs and pulled pork on frybread, watermelon salad, and street corn. We’re still dreaming about it!
• Cookie Heaven - Thanks to the generous ingredient donation from Pealow’s Independent Grocer and our amazing volunteer baker, we had the perfect sweet treat for everyone to round out the night.
• Volunteers Shine - Your passion, energy, and commitment made this celebration possible. From set-up to clean-up, from silent auction tables to raffle ticket sales — you were the heartbeat of the day.
• Rain? No Problem! - A little rain didn’t dampen our spirits — in fact, it added character! Huge kudos to the TCVS organizing team for rolling with the weather and keeping everything running smoothly.
• Grateful Partners - Endless appreciation to our hosts at Baillie-Grohman Estate Winery link for the beautiful venue and unwavering support.
• Inspiring Voices - We were honoured to hear from guest speakers Jerry B ( TCVS board member), Carolyn Hawton (Town of Creston), and Roger Tierney (RDCK Area B) sharing reflections and updates that connected us all to the bigger picture.
• Community Vibes - Laughter, dancing, music, shared food, and smiling faces — the best of what a community looks like. Whether you came with family or found a quiet moment under the pavilion, it was a night to remember.
From all of us at Trails for Creston Valley Society, thank you for making this celebration one for the books. Your presence and support are what keep our trails alive and thriving.
