A 36-year-old Blairmore man has been arrested and charged for child sexual exploitation.
Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams' (ALERT) Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) and Crowsnest Pass RCMP arrested William McQueen on April 28, after a search warrant was executed on his home.
McQueen's offences include possessing, accessing, and making child pornography available, as well as multiple offences for improper storage of a firearm found inside his home. He was arrested under similar circumstances in Oct. 2019.
A tip from the RCMP's National Child Exploitation Crime Centre led ALERT to identify McQueen as a suspect. He allegedly shared child sexual exploitation materials through social media platforms Discord and Snap.
McQueen recently appeared in court on May 8, following his release from custody with court-imposed conditions.
