There’s nothing like a celebration in Yahk — so don’t miss SummerFest on Saturday.
Running from 8:30 a.m.-10 p.m. at the Yahk-Kingsgate Community Hall, the day will feature all the events visitors have come to expect from SummerFest, including outdoor games for kids, cherry pit spitting, horseshoes, bocce, 50/50 draws and a raffle. New this year are a parade at 11 a.m., carnival games at noon and a heritage walk from noon-4 p.m.
Musical entertainment kicks off at 2 p.m., with a lineup featuring Ruckus, Kootenay Jack, Eagle Bear Spirit, Connor Foote, Clayton Parsons and the Rippin’ Rattlers.
