The Best of Orpheus — 20th Anniversary Concert Tour will be coming to Creston on June 3, when the Vancouver Orpheus Male Choir performs at Prince Charles Theatre at 2 p.m.
The free concert features the choir, which was founded in 1992 in the tradition of Welsh male choirs “for men of all ages who enjoy singing.” Twenty years later, Orpheus is an audience favourite, known particularly for its passion and breadth of repertoire.
This one-hour program will bring back some of its most popular songs — including What Shall we do with the Drunken Sailor, Sixteen Tons, Bridge over troubled Water, Hallelujah and Jailhouse Rock — from past concerts as the boys pass through Creston on the way from Nelson to Cranbrook and Kimberley.
