On May 19, everyone is invited to Creston's Snoring Sasquatch for a night of poetry and friendly competition. The third in a series of poetry slams will begin at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 7), a joint venture between the Sasquatch Arts and Music Society and the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy.
“Its a great opportunity to get out and meet your fellow poets, get some feedback on work or simply try out something new on a captive audience,” said Sasquatch volunteer Jason Smith. “Of course, everyone is encouraged to come out and just sit back with their favourite drink and enjoy the poetry and if anyone wishes to simply recite some of their work without competing, that’s totally cool as well.”
Admission is by donation.
