Quartetto Gelato to perform in Creston

Virtuosic showpieces, pyrotechnical solos, blazing gypsy showpieces, and multi-instrumental mastery is on the menu at the Creston Concert Society’s showcase.

The Society announced that its second live performance for the 2023-24 concert season with be Quartetto Gelato, a unique ensemble features an oboist (who is also a Cirque de Soleil acrobat and musical theatre actor), a Serbian violinist, and award-winning finish accordionist and a wandering cellist.

On Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 7:30 pm, Quartetto Gelato will be performing in the theatre at Kootenay River Secondary School.

Quartetto Gelato has performed sold-out concerts around the world, appeared with the major North American orchestras, and produced 11 CD’s reflecting their signature style of multi-instrument mastery, humour, and virtuosity. Their music has been heard on Hollywood soundtracks and on board the NASA space shuttle Columbia, from where they were heard, literally, around the world. This unique ensemble features an oboist (who is also a Cirque de Soleil acrobat and musical theatre actor), a Serbian violinist, and award-winning finish accordionist and a wandering cellist.

The main front doors to the high school will be open 1 hour prior to the performance (6:30pm) and the doors to the theatre will open 30 minutes before the show (7:00pm).

There will be concessions available during intermission by the student council. Tickets bought in advance are $30 for adults and $15 for youth (age 18 and under). Tickets bought at the door will be $35 for adults and $15 for youth.
