The Creston and District Public Library’s Don’t Leave Your Mind Behind November film presentation is Oceans of Plastic.

The world’s oceans are rapidly becoming the world’s trash dump. Every mile of ocean now contains an average of 74,000 pieces of plastic, a “plastic soup” of waste. Animals are dying from blocked intestines and chemicals from plastic have been found in the reproductive systems of animals and humans. What can be done to clean up our oceans?

Oceans of Plastic, along with The Story of Stuff, a vignette on the life cycle of consumer goods, will be shown at the library (531 16th Ave. S.) at 2 p.m. on Nov. 19. Admission is free. For more information, contact the library at 250-428-4141.
