If you love to sing….Blossom Valley Singers may be for you.

Blossom Valley Singers, Creston’s community choir starts rehearsals Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the band room at Prince Charles Secondary School in preparation for the new season and Christmas concert Anyone who loves to sing is welcome. Registration starts at 6:30.

For this 2017 Christmas concert the Creston Community Band will again join the Blossom Valley Singers. The renowned and accomplished Monte Anderson will have the dual roles of directing the band and accompanist for the choir. Anita Stushnoff will again direct the choir and Christmas production which will feature the talents of Creston’s best vocalists. Christmas selections range from a jazzy arrangement of “In the Mood (for Christmas)”; a medley of spirituals; a collection of the most-loved classical Christmas choral numbers and carols; a beautiful song from “Polar Express”; and an Appalachian mountain song “Angel Band”. There’s something for every taste!

Once again, this year the Blossom Valley Singers gave back to the talented youth of the Creston Valley with a bursary award for post-secondary studies in Music to Megan Bibby. They also provided a scholarship to Emma Penner to compete at Performing Arts BC in the piano competition, and participate as observer in the violin competitions.

The choir fee for this season is $50 for adults and $25 for youth. There is no requirement to pay the fee until you’ve tried us out for three weeks. For more information, visit the website at www.blossomvalleysingers.org.
