Creston Wildsight hosting presentation by birder

The Creston Valley branch of Wildsight is pleased to host Dick Cannings on March 15 at 7 p.m.

Dick Cannings is a biologist, birder and author living in the Okanagan, and is one of B.C.’s most renowned naturalists. He coordinates the Canadian Christmas bird count, the backyard bird count, the B.C. owl survey, the e-Bird program and has worked on the BC Breeding Bird Atlas.

Having spent eight years co-chairing the committee on the status of endangered wildlife in Canada, Cannings shows a deep concern for the number of bird species at risk. Flights of Imagination is his sixth book on the natural history and biology of birds.

The Creston Valley branch of Wildsight is pleased to host Dick Cannings on March 15 at 7 p.m. at the Rotacrest Hall as part of the spring 2011 Wildsight series.
