The Yasodhara Ashram is inviting the public to a special gathering on the first anniversary of the fire that damaged the Temple of Light beyond repair.
From 2:30-4 p.m. Saturday, an event will allow visitors to remember the temple, honour the firefighters and ambulance crew for their efforts, and celebrate new beginnings. The afternoon will feature a presentation of the design concept for the new Temple of Light, a preview of art donated by local artisans and craftspeople for an online auction this summer to raise funds for the new temple, and tea, snacks and an informal community gathering.
