Canyon Street was a busy place on the May long weekend during the Creston Valley Cruisers show.

Two things you don't expect at a car show are umbrellas and rain coats. There is no denying it was a wet day.

The sixth annual Creston Valley Blossom Festival classic car show hosted by the Creston Valley Cruisers looked to be a washout as organizers set up early May 21. But they came, more than last year!

We hosted vehicles from B.C., Alberta, Washington, Idaho and Montana. One fella, as he pulled in from Washington with a beautiful 1970 Chevelle that he bought new, commented, “If you don't drive them, you don't own them”, a statement that set the mood of the day.

The moisture continued till around 12:30 or 1 p.m. This didn't seem to deter enthusiasts, as the street always had spectators of all ages. The beautiful downtown Canyon Street location is the draw for many of our entrants, and without it our show wouldn't be the same.

Jeff Dashwood's unique trophies were once again the focus of attraction for the entrants Participants in the show vote on the classes, so winning a trophy is recognition by their peers.
