The Community Arts Council of Creston is adding some culinary culture to its activities for Arts and Culture Week, April 21-27.

Did you know that there are over 25 restaurants serving great food in Creston and the surrounding area? Have you eaten at all of them? The council wants to give you a chance to check them out for the first time or let you support your favorite.

Local restaurants are being invited to showcase their talents at an outdoor foodie event, A Taste of Creston — Ethnic Eats, being presented on April 27, the closing day of Arts and Culture Week. Restaurateurs will be given the opportunity to present their dishes in small portions, priced accordingly, to allow you to build a meal perfectly suited to your tastes in a festive, outdoor atmosphere.

Restaurants are being asked to present menu items with an ethnic twist, which could range from Asian cuisine to European favorites and, of course, the best dishes North America has to offer.

Council members will be visiting local restaurants with application and information packets and restaurants can also apply for entry by email at atasteofcreston@gmail.com. All licensed restaurants are welcome to participate.

Bon appetit. Or, in today’s vernacular, Omnomnom.
