On Nov. 13, brain-based learning facilitator Gary Anka will present The Magical Teenage Brain at the Prince Charles Theatre from 7-9 p.m. for parents of children of all ages.
Sponsored by the Prince Charles Secondary School parent advisory committee, the presentation will offer strategies to effectively reach and teach adolescents, leading them to academic success and a lifelong learning potential. It will also explain why the adolescent brain is in biological turmoil, how to engage and communicate with teens, how dopamine drives their risk-taking behavior and what teenagers crave most.
