The two women who promoted the need for a sign to promote activities at the Creston and District Community Complex — Signe Miller and Nicole Nilsson — recently joined elected officials to celebrate the installation of an electronic reader sign on Canyon Street at 19th Avenue North, on land donated by Dennis Kemle.
The regional District of Central Kootenay installed the sign recently, after years of advocacy by Miller.
"This was long overdue and we are so grateful to the RDCK for finally funding it," said Miller.
