Stay Live Productions’ outdoor concerts will feature heavy metal rock on Saturday, with Metallica tribute band Master of Justice visiting Creston from Vancouver.

“Master of Justice is among the premier Metallica tribute bands in the world today,” organizer Velle Weitman said on Friday. “They are more than just a tribute show—they deliver the full Metallica experience! For them it’s all about the authenticity.”

With exacting musicianship, attention to mannerisms, replication of signature movements, costuming, and, of course, the stage props that have become a Metallica trademark, Master Of Justice delivers the atmosphere of a full production stadium show, performing a full catalogue of Metallica songs with energy and excitement.

Two other bands will open Master of Justice to deliver a great evening of entertainment.

Paper Mountains is a young local rock band brought together through Rick and Jan Potyok’s House of Rock program. The four-piece band includes bassist Ryan Hula (16), lead guitarist Kai Coleman (14), drummer Aiden Douma (14) and lead singer and rhythm guitarist Evans Daybell-Chambers (15). They have been playing their instruments for 3-plus years and been together as a band for four months. They start playing at 6:30 pm.

“They love music with a passion and are thrilled to showcase their growing talent to our hometown,” Weitman said.

Visiting from Alberta is King Mammoth and the Great Vandedy.

“Born in 2015, King Mammoth is a multiphasic music, in that it plays all forms of music including heavy metal,” she said. “Because they are not the same as everybody else they will not be the same old thing as other metal acts. King Mammoth visited the 3-eh Stage last year, and they put on an amazing show.”

Gates open for the August 18 concert at 5 pm. Food and beverages are available on site. Tickets are available at the Ramada, Black Bear Books and Fly in the Fibre.
