Legion poppy fundraiser starts in Creston

Army cadet Dylan Manville and air cadet Jeremy Mogg witnessed Creston Mayor Ron Toyota being presented with the first poppy of the 2015 poppy sale at the cenotaph on Monday.

Presenting the poppy was Royal Canadian Legion member and veteran Stanley Wedge, who recently celebrated his 100th birthday. Wedge was born in Southampton, England, on Sept. 9, 1915 and saw active duty in the Second World War.
