Is the chocolate you eat produced with the use of slave labour and trafficked children? The Creston and District Public Library invites you learn the bitter truth of chocolate with its documentary film presentation, The Dark Side of Chocolate.

In 2001, companies such as Nestlé, Bernard Callebaut and Cadbury signed the Cocoa Protocol, promising to work for the total eradication of child labour in the cocoa sector by 2008. Eleven years after implementation, has the protocol had any effect in reducing child labour?

The film runs at 2 p.m. May 12 at the library. Admission is free.
