Members of Creston’s multiple sclerosis support group (above, with Creston A&W staff) met up at A&W on Aug. 27 for the restaurant chain’s annual Cruisin’ to End MS promotion, in which $1 from every Teen Burger sold that day was donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

In the last six years of the Cruisin' campaign, A&W has raised more than $6.5 million, with $1.45 million last year alone.

Canada has the highest rate of MS in the world — four times greater than the U.S. — with one in every 280 Canadians living with the disease.

Funds raised by Cruisin' to End MS help the MS Society of Canada to fund research to find a cure and develop treatments, push for  caregiver support, provide wheelchairs and other equipment, and fund MS support groups.
