The ZenWords Zen Centre’s zendo is useful for more than meditation — it has also been used for concerts, and on March 24, it was the location of a wedding based in Buddhist ceremony (above).

“The ceremony of a Buddhist wedding is primarily about dedicating the love and happiness that the couple will find in their marriage to creation of harmony, and happiness in the bride and groom’s family and community,” said resident teacher Kuya Minogue. “The beads wrapped around both the bride and groom hands signify that the bond between them can never be broken.”
