Toastmasters is a safe and supportive environment where greatness happens, and the Creston Valley Toastmasters Club 4949 will be holding its spring speech and evaluation contest on March 14. The public is invited to attend, observe how the contest is held and find out what makes a winning speech.
Winners from each club level go on to compete at an area competition, which will be held in Golden. Winners from there go on to the Okanagan, and from there to the spring conference in Nanaimo.
The local contest runs from 7-9 p.m. in the Redeemer Lutheran Church basement (315 15th Ave. N.). It will start and end on time, so please arrive early so as not to interrupt the contest. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
