The Creston Valley Agricultural Society is hosting a networking event for women in the valley to raise awareness, and create business and social connections between farm and city working women.

Inspirational speaker Leona Dargis will be the evening’s main feature, and Creston Museum manager Tammy Hardwick will offer a presentation on women through the years.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 3 in the Creston Room at the Creston and District Community Complex. There will be no sit-down dinner, but Michelle Staggs of Buffalo Trails will be serving appetizers as a three-course meal.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at Pharmasave, or contact Carolyn Hawton at 250-428-2286, Bettylou Christenson at 250-866-5694 or Lori Kepke at 250-402-9673. Any surplus funds raised will be donated to the Creston Valley Hospital to be put toward a new labour and birthing bed in the maternity ward.
