Heather Dugdale, who has Huntington’s disease and is a member of the Creston and District Society for Community Living’s Therapeutic Riding Program, was thrilled when Alex Nilsson recently gave her his replica medal and jacket from the Rick Hansen Relay.
Nilsson was the first medal bearer when the relay arrived in Creston on April 18, the 238th day of its cross-country route that celebrated the 25th anniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man in Motion world tour. He was one of 13 who carried the official medal into and out of Creston.
