Twenty-seven quilts and more than two dozen pairs of mohair slippers were part of the latest shipment of food, clothing and toys for the isolated Northern Manitoba community of Shamattawa last month.

Members of the Beehive Quilters, who are also part of the Quilts for Kids group, gather at the Creston Museum regularly to make items to donate to charitable causes. The quilts and slippers will be included in a four-pallet shipment, one of which will be apples, once again donated by Shukin Orchards.
