Creston Meals on Wheels seeking volunteers drivers

The program is again in need of volunteers who have a vehicle and could deliver to the community...

Since 1974, the community has been very fortunate to have meals delivered to Creston residents through Creston Home Support’s Meals on Wheels program, which delivers hot meals three times a week.

The program has been very privileged to have remarkable volunteers delivering meals, which has kept it going. It is again in need of volunteers who have a vehicle and could deliver to the community, and organizers are asking for people who can spare an hour a week. Volunteers may be able to commit to one day or just as a casual fill-in on the odd day. There is a fuel allowance to cover the cost of gas.

This is a way to give that helps all year long. Volunteers can join a group of people who are truly making a difference. To join the team, call 250-428-3827.

Volunteers recognized by Meals on Wheels for the donation of their time include Bill Stephenson, Randy Nelson, Gail Nelson, Les Munn, Rosemarie Wood and Michael Willingham, and special thanks goes to Paul Corriveau, Richard Rand and Todd Dickson, who delivered for many years.
