The Creston Firefighters Society and Interior Brewery Workers, Local 308, donated $2,000 each to Tim Lengyell, a Columbia Brewery employee and a past member of Creston Fire and Rescue, who retired from the department about three years ago.

Lengyell fell ill about a year ago and has been unable to work, having more and more difficulty walking. After hearing that he might begin to sell some of his personal belongings to pay for a mobility scooter, the firefighters society donated $2,000 toward the scooter and approached the brewery union to do the same.

Firefighter Randall Fabbro (left) also represents the brewery union.
