The Creston Valley branch of Wildsight would like to invite everyone who eats to a presentation called “Local Farming, Local Food: The Challenges and Opportunities” from 7-9 p.m. March 1 at Rotacrest Hall.

A Panel of five local farmers and members of the Young Agrarians will discuss small-scale farming, food security, growing organically and conventionally for the local market, and Agricultural Land Commission concerns.

Members of the panel are Drew Gailius (Full Circle Farm, Canyon), Wayne Harris (Kootenay Meadows dairy farm, Lister), Dave Mutch (JRD Farms and William Tell Juice Company, Erickson), Nigel Francis (Young Agrarians, Creston), Randy Meyer (R & S Meyer Farms, Lister) and Doug Crumback (Swan Valley Honey, Wynndel).

Admission is by donation and is part of the all-branch Wildsight annual general meeting. Locally grown farm produce will be for sale and sample!
