The Boswell Nifty Needlers (BNN) is a group of dedicated quilters who wanted to help raise funds for the Help the Harbour campaign.

The Boswell boat launch is one of very few launch sites on the East Shore and it is a well-used facility. Unfortunately, it is becoming unsafe and needs to be rebuilt. The cost is very high and the Boswell community is busy raising funds to supplement any grants we may receive. An idea was put forward and the result was a 2014 wall calendar featuring not only some of the quilted items the BNN made, but local men modelling them!

The project was a resounding success and the BNN was able to donate the sum of $2,233.29 to the Boswell Farmers’ Institute (BFI), the volunteer group that looks after the harbour.
