In preparation for a mission to Guatemala, members of the Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church held a bake sale at Extra Foods on Nov. 14, which raised $1,750.
Each team member pays $2,000 for the Feb. 1-10 trip, which will have three parts: spending $5,000 to put a roof on a school, offering spiritual support and delivering supplies to schools through Seeds International, and visiting families who live in garbage dumps.
In addition to hosting the bake sale, Extra Foods will make a donation of clothes, shoes and toiletries toward the project.
