Mayor Ron Toyota, former truck driver and airplane pilot, couldn’t resist trying out the Town of Creston’s latest piece of equipment last week.
The “bucket truck” is a reconditioned 2006 unit that is scheduled to become the park department’s vehicle.
It will be used to tow mowers and other equipment when the boom and bucket are not being used by workers to trim trees, change lights, switch street banners, install Christmas decorations and generally do anything that used to require a rental unit.
