The Creston Valley Music Teachers’ Association hosted its annual fundraising concert, Tapestry, for the Monte Anderson Music Scholarship on the weekend.
Pat Martin MCed the concert, which included performances by teachers Monte Anderson, Bob van der Poel, Simone Wiebe, Rhonda MacLellan, Anita Shutshnoff and Velle Weitman (in the Velle Weitman Trio). Guests included the Creston Community Band, led by Anderson, and Kokanee Brass.
The concert is a fundraiser for the Monte Anderson Music Scholarship, awarded to a student in post-secondary music education.
