Sanford (Sandy) Edwin Schell

Sandy Edwin Schell passed away on March 4, 2017 in Cranbrook, B.C. at the age of 89 years.

Sandy was born on November 6, 1927 in Nipawin, SK. He joined the Canadian Army in 1945 and served for 33 years. He married Ann (nee Side) in Edmonton, AB in 1958, the couple remained married for 58 years. They had three children: Charles born in Fort Nelson, B.C., Donald born in Kingston, ON, and Robert born in Germany.

Sandy was a very active member of Branch 29, Royal Canadian Legion, serving Branch President. He was a member of the Creston Valley Curling Club.

He is predeceased by his mother Eileen Tuscher (nee Doughty), his father Edwin (Ted) Schell, and stepfather Charles Tuscher.

Sandy is survived by his wife Ann (nee Side) of Creston, B.C.; sons Charles Schell of Parker Island, B.C., Donald Schell of Winnipeg, MB, and Robert Schell of Chilliwack, B.C.; grandson Alexander Schell of Victoria, B.C.; and sister Inez Angelski of Creighton, SK.
