Raymond Richard Wills

October 17, 1939 ~ August 21, 2017

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Raymond Richard Wills on August 21, 2017, after a short illness.

Ray was born in Kimberly on October 17, 1939, the son of Celia Horie and the stepson of Jack Horie.

Raymond grew up in Cranbrook and joined the Navy in 1957. He served for five years and moved back to Cranbrook. He met Tiny when he was a milkman. They were married and soon had twins. Ray was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He worked at CPR for many years as a conductor. When he retired 12 years ago they moved to Creston. He has since spent his time running the roads with his best friend Shannon Hood and copilot Shiloh, hunting for bargains to fill his food shelves in his Wilmart and getting into general mischief.

He was pre-deceased by his brothers Ron Wills of Cranbrook and Robert Wills (Bob); sister Margie O'Genskie (John) of Trail and brother-in-law Ken Carver of Cranbrook.

He is survived by his wife Alene (Tiny) Wills of Creston; son Scott Wills (Joanne) of Cranbrook; granddaughter Ash Kelly of Vancouver; grandson Jake Wills (Kaila) of Cranbrook; Darby Wills of Port Alberni; daughter Stacey Williams (Andrew) of Nanaimo; sisters Lois Carver of Cranbrook, Shirley Craig (Ken) of Calgary, and Cathie Horie of Nanaimo; brothers Pat Horie (Dee) of Courtenay and Malcom Horie (Alice) of Kamloops; and many nieces, nephews and their children.

We will all miss his hilarious outlook on life as well as his entertaining Facebook posts.
