His career as a truck driver was honoured after driving more than one million miles accident-free. He was inducted into the Million Mile Club which is part of the National Safety Council.
Mike and Judy enjoyed traveling Western Canada visiting friends and family along with their dog Amber, sharing laughter and good times. They enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino.
After Judy’s death in 2002, Mike moved to Creston in 2004 with his friend Darlene Henderson where they met up with old friends and made new friends. Terri and Wayne Miller became Mike’s caregivers in 2012 as his health started to fail. He was very thankful for the care and kindness that they provided to him.
