Gail Margaret Peterson (nee Garland) passed away in Red Deer, AB on December 17, 2009.
Gail was born in Calgary, AB to parents Jack and Loretta Garland. She had an older sister, Mary and a younger brother, Ted.
She worked for the Government of the Northwest Territories in Yellowknife for many years and retired to Red Deer, AB in 2000.
Gail was married to her husband Len Peterson for 43 years. Gail was involved in the theatrical community for many years in Yellowknife, NT and appeared in a number of musicals and dinner theatres. She was an associate member of the Legion.
Gail loved vacationing with her family, spending time in Riondel, BC and strolling the shores of the Kootenay Lake.
Gail was predeceased by her parents Jack and Loretta Garland. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Leonard Peterson, son Don, step-daughter Lora, son Jeff (Dawn) and daughter Kerri (Ali), grandchildren Breanna, Michelle, Brad; Kayla, and Quinn as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was held on Thursday December 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Francis dela Cruz celebrant.
Interment followed at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erickson, BC.
