Dorothy I. Thompson

Dorothy I. Thompson of Creston B.C. passed away at Swan Valley Lodge on November 20, 2016 at the age of 90 years.

Dorothy was born in Minnedosa, Manitoba on March 16, 1926. She lived in Manitoba for 80 years until she decided to move to Creston to be closer to her son, and to also live in the mountains.

Dorothy was a Ladies' Auxiliary member at the Legion in Minnedosa, Manitoba, then after her move to Creston she became a member of TAPS. She also loved to garden and was an avid knitter.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Don Thompson; and sisters Vivian Sharpe, Elsie Phelps, and Margorie Wray.

Dorothy is survived by sisters Olive Hanson and Bea Andrews; son Doug Thompson (Sandy); daughter Donna Gilmore (Joe); and grandchildren Don and Dean Thompson and Kim and Allison Gilmore.

A private service will be held at the request of the family at a later date.
