Donna Karen Norton

May 13, 1952 ~ August 6, 2017


Donna passed quietly on Sunday, August 6, 2017with her loving husband John by her side.


Donna was owner, operator of Blondie’s Bistro in Creston B.C. for twelve years until 1997. Donna and her husband, John, moved to Calgary in 2002. Donna loved to travel and talk to people. She loved Hollywood and having her name in the credits of “Revenant” as Production security guard. She was proud of receiving the White Hat award for Back of House while working at Heritage Park. Donna always had good stories to tell about her many adventures in and around Calgary.

Donna will be lovingly remembered by her husband John Norton; her mother Susan Nemanishen; two sons, Kerim (Amy) Aktug and Kamil (Krista) Aktug; and her grandchildren Quinn and Keagan Aktug. She will also be missed by aunts, uncles, nieces, and friends. Donna was always greeted at the door by her rescue dogs Chloe, Zoe and Ellie May. Donna refered to the dogs as her “good for nothings but love”.


Donna was predeceased by her father Fred Nemanishen and brother Ed Nemanishen.
