Bayse John Eddy

September 12, 1946 ~ April 10, 2017

Bayse John Eddy of Creston, B.C. passed away at Creston Valley Hospital on April 10, 2017 after he lost his yearlong battle with cancer.

Bayse was born on September 12, 1946 in Kimberley, B.C., but was brought up in Creston.

After high school, Bayse worked in the forest industry for a short period of time. He then worked at Al Oeming’s Game Farm until he was attacked by a bear that had decided he needed more food than what was offered. Bayse survived the attack with a large chunk out of his arm and decided to pursue a safer career. He studied and became a master carpenter, working throughout British Columbia, mostly in the lower mainland.

Bayse loved the outdoors and took every opportunity to go hunting and fishing. He would plan his hunting trips all year and couldn’t wait to be out there. He was an expert fly fisherman and fished many rivers in B.C. but his favorite was the local Goat River. He would be ready to go anytime if someone wanted to “head up the Goat”. When at home, Bayse loved his garden and was very proud of his roses and tomatoes.

"Happy fishing, Bayse in your eternal home. May you feel a love that fills you to overflowing. We love you.”
