Alan Roy Gorbich
December 27, 1935 ~ November 23, 2016
Alan was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and moved with his family to Taber, AB in 1940. It was here he married Diane Gay Ragan in 1963, and moved his family to Creston, BC in 1970. He worked at Creston Motors as a parts-man, then at Huscroft Sawmill as a lumber grader, and finally at the Labatts Brewery from which he retired.
Alan enjoyed many hobbies, including tent trailering with his family, maintaining the perfect lawn, fishing on Kootenay Lake, and reading magazines on photography and cars. He was always up for a chat with just about anyone on just about anything.
Alan was predeceased by his wife Diane in 1976.
He is survived by his daughter Danette, son Patrick, and two grandchildren Jared and Dana. He is also survived by his long-time companion Elaine Breeden.
A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
