I note the brief statement to Council from the spokesperson for the “Affordable Fire Hall” lobby group suggesting that a P3 process be considered. I’m not surprised that she wouldn’t take any questions on the statement.
So-called P3s have been discredited for years by more and more jurisdictions as an efficient and effective way to deliver public service/infrastructure. Kudos to the Council members who also expressed this.
If this statement is the end result of the anti group’s promises to deliver “an affordable fire hall” the mind boggles.
