On Sept. 3, Jo-Anne Schultz of the Great Canadian Cooking School kicked off a month of cooking demonstrations at the Creston Valley Farmers’ Market, starting with the marinated summer squash salad from Heidi Bjarnason’s column, The Locavore’s Cookbook, in last week’s Advance.

Schultz will offer demonstrations through the rest of the month at the farmers’ market, which boasted a record 48 vendors at the Millennium Park location on the weekend.

From October through December, the Creston Valley Farmer's Market will move to Morris Greenhouse on Erickson Road.
