Creston RCMP are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a hit and run at Northwest Boulevard and Pine Street early in the morning on Dec. 29.
Staff Sgt. Bob Gollan said two adult men were crossing Northwest Boulevard when a dark coloured SUV fishtailed into the intersection after crossing the railway tracks. One of the men was unable to avoid the out-of-control vehicle and was hit and thrown into his companion. The former, who was visiting from Saskatchewan, suffered a broken leg and the latter, a Creston resident, sustained bruises.
The vehicle sped away from the scene.
Police ask anyone with information about the vehicle or its driver to contact the local detachment at 250-428-9313.
