Creston RCMP responded to 61 calls for service from Feb. 28-March 5, Staff Sgt. Bob Gollan said on March 5.

March 4

•Police patrols found two novice drivers, one on Alder Road and the other on Kootenay River Road, who had consumed alcohol. Both were given 12-hour driving prohibitions and had their licences seized.

•Police were unable to trace the source of a 911 call routed through the Riley Road cellphone tower.

•A dark blue 10-speed bike was stolen while the cyclist shopped for groceries in the 1000 block of Northwest Boulevard.

March 5

•A Riverview Road resident reported a theft of under $5,000.
