Advance Editor

It’s during this heat wave that I have the distinct pleasure of introducing myself as the new editor of the Creston Valley Advance.

Let me give you a brief picture of who I am. I’m Jenneil Peters, and my background consists of blogging and digital marketing. I have been a successful owner and editor of two online publications for women based in Metro Vancouver.

After extensive travel throughout Italy and Greece in 2016, I moved to Creston to experience country life. I have to confess I’ve never lived in a small community before now. I’m used to the bright lights, fast pace and buzz of the big city.

At first, the change of pace of living in a small community was a shock to my system. “Why is it so quiet here?” “Why can’t I ever find my favourite ice cream at the grocery store?” “When will it ever stop snowing?” After a few months of adjusting to life in a small community, I find Creston to be quite relaxing, intriguing and very inviting.

I enjoy meeting people, learning their unique stories and sharing them with others. My goals as editor for the Creston Valley Advance are to publish stories that will intrigue and entertain readers of all ages and to build strong relationships throughout the community.

I look forward to meeting the residents of the community, and business owners of Creston. So, if you see me around the community, please feel free to introduce yourself to me and chat.
