The Blossom Valley Singers have been delighting the Creston Valley for over 30 years, and this year they really want to shake things up with their jazzy holiday showcase In the Mood for Christmas. Like last year’s sold-out shows, they will have three performances from December 8th-10th, 2017 at the Prince Charles Theatre at PCSS. The truly inspirational Anita Stushnoff will be conducting the choir, and joining them again will be the Creston Community Band led by the talented Monte Anderson.

The selections are energetic and fun starting with the big band Gettin’ in the Mood for Christmas. Many songs will have a stylistic revamp like Let it, Snow, along with a great collection of favourites delivered in a fresh new format. You will feel like a kid again with the magical Believe from the hit movie The Polar Express, and be heading for the hills with the Appalachian-inspired Angel Band.

Also joining them is The Creston Youth Choir, daring you to hear all 26 of your favourite carols in 3 minutes. Try to keep up! The Key Of She choir will share a selection of music that will truly inspire you. The haunting Ring Silver Bells, the beautiful Breath of Heaven, and a rousing rendition of an old favourite Tis the Season: A Christmas Madrigal.

Guest performers include Megan Bibby on the fiddle, and Kelly Mehrer performing The Night Before Christmas.

As always there will be intermission refreshments by donation provided by the United Church and a fun audience singalong.

This fabulous local tradition of song sells out fast, and rarely are there tickets left at the door so plan to get your tickets early from Black Bear Books or members of the choir and band. Concert dates are Friday, December 8th at 7:00 pm, Saturday, December 9th at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, December 10th at 2:30 pm.
